Hurling Wall Grass
With fewer handball alleys to be seen across the country, clubs & schools are turning to building their own with Hurling Wall Grass in order to increase skill levels of both underage & adult teams. The number of touches a player takes when playing against a hurling wall can far outnumber those achieved in training sessions. Having a grass surface which complements the hurling wall ensures that players are training under similar conditions to those experienced at game time.
The Refturf 60 synthetic grass surface is a highly durable and hardwearing grass and most suitable for artificial grass goalmouths and hurling wall applications. The Classic surface is a proven version of the tried-and-tested Third Generation Fibrillated surfaces. Fibrillated surfaces have been the standard in the industry before the emergence of Monofilament fibres. The fibre is designed to bend over as the surface settles with play, thereby withstanding heavy foot-traffic while remaining non-abrasive and silky. The infill materials of sand & rubber are brushed into the system. In the final stages in infilling, the tips of the fibres are split open and bend over to stabilise the infill. This makes the Refturf 60 surface ideal for high-usage areas as it is very robust and retains its excellent playing characteristics throughout the life-span of the surface.
